Erin Donovans attention to details makes her a natural researcher and writer. At the Mayforth Group, sheÕs the individual who brings initiatives to completion. Her focus is on seeking public and private funds for our clients, and researching, tracking and drafting legislation, as well as actively lobbying on our clients' behalf at the State House.
Before starting at the Mayforth Group in 2002, Donovan worked on Capitol Hill for Congressman Weiner of New York. Her duties there included assisting with constituent services and correspondences, as well as information distribution.
As Vice President of the Mayforth Group, Erin Donovan's primary focus is to seek out public funding opportunities for our clients. This process begins with detailed research into grant availability and monitoring federal authorization and appropriation progress. This also includes working with congressional authorizing and appropriation committees, various federal delegations, and different federal departments and agencies. She is also responsible for writing grant proposals and coordinating state and federal support and correspondences.
Donovan has written legislation at the state level and worked with the Rhode Island General Assembly and state-wide office holders to ensure passage. She has also successfully procured millions of dollars in state and federal money for various clients.
An honors student at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina, Donovan graduated with a degree in Political Science. Additionally, she studied international affairs in Oxford, England. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in International Relations at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island.
In addition to her full-time position, Erin is a member of the board of directors for the Providence Maritime Heritage Foundation and Mount St. RitaÕs Health Care Centre in Cumberland, RI. She volunteers her time as a coach of an AAU basketball team for teenage girls in Rhode Island and also for the Smithfield Emergency Management Agency. She has also worked on various local and statewide campaigns throughout Rhode Island, and has recently been elected to the Smithfield School Committee.
